Founded in Amherst nearly 40 years ago, originally meetings of the Souhegan Valley Quilters’ Guild were held in homes, but as the group grew, many churches allowed us to meet in their buildings. Today we meet in Milford. We currently have 40 members. Our members machine quilt and hand quilt, and they make traditional quilts and modern quilts. We challenge each other to be creative and we help beginners with their projects. We go on a retreat once a year, bring a teacher in, and do mystery quilts and challenges.
Our mission is to educate, to encourage quilters of all levels, to create friendships and to provide Comfort Quilts to people in our communities who are going through challenging times. We also donate to the Quilts of Valor project and Project Linus.
For information about our meetings, please email Jeannie at email@example.com. All quilters are welcome and dues are just $20 per year.
