Amherst Destination Imagination

Destination Imagination is an international organization dedicated to teaching participants the essential skills of creativity, teamwork, and problem solving. Every year, thousands of students from the United States, China, Poland, Colombia, Brazil and many other countries join a Destination Imagination team.

The DI season begins with the fall school semester, when elementary, middle, and high school students form teams of up to seven members. Each team will select one of the seven Team Challenges created each year by Destination Imagination volunteers. With guidance from a teacher or parent volunteer as Team Manager, students devise their own action plan, and work together for several months to develop and create a solution to the Team Challenge’s stated problem.
