• The 3rd & 4th of July festivities are back, and we need VOLUNTEERS!

America's Superheroes 2021

The theme of this year’s celebration is “America’s Superheroes” in honor of all the local “Superheroes” who have been on the front line helping our community for more than a year.

Virtual Town Green

Visit our Virtual Town Green to check out some of the local organizations that usually have booths on our Town Green each year!

Reverse Parade

This year, instead of a traditional parade through the center of Amherst, there will be a reverse parade at Souhegan High School on July 4th from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Parade participants will stand in stationary locations along a driving loop, in this case the Souhegan High School loop, and parade viewers can drive slowly through to view, wave to the participants, and safely enjoy the events!  We are excited to welcome all Amherst residents to join the fun on the 4th!

Virtual Town Green

The booths that are typically set up on the Village Green on the Fourth will be going virtual this year! We invite you to visit our Virtual Town Green to visit, learn about, and support the local organizations that do so much for our community.  All of the groups on the Green are local nonprofits, raising money and awareness for their good works.  We also invite you to check out the artwork of the artists that usually have booths on the Green on the Fourth.

Decoration Challenge

We encourage all Amherst residents to decorate their mailboxes, homes and yards for Independence Day! If you would like to invite everyone to drive by your home to see your decorations, please send your address to us at amherstnh4th@gmail.com so we can post it on this website prior to the 4th.
